This page explains how to ask us to delete your FinFlot account and the personal data held about you, what we can and cannot delete, and how long it takes.
FinFlot is not a bank or NBFC and does not lend. FinFlot is a workplace app. Your account is created for you by the DSA firm or legal practice that employs or contracts you — you cannot sign up for FinFlot yourself. That matters for deletion, because most of the records in FinFlot belong to your firm rather than to you personally.
01 What you can ask us to delete
- Your user account — your name, email address, phone number, login history and the devices registered to you.
- Your attendance and leave records, where your firm's own retention rules allow it.
- Your saved app preferences on this device — you can clear these yourself at any time by uninstalling the app.
02 What we usually cannot delete on your request alone
Customer and loan records you entered while working belong to your firm, not to you, and are usually subject to financial record-keeping obligations. We keep them for 8 years after your firm stops using FinFlot, to meet the obligations that apply to books of account under the Companies Act, 2013. If your firm's administrator asks us to delete them, we will act on that request instead.
03 How to make a request
Email connect@finflot.com from the email address on your FinFlot account, with the subject line "Data deletion request", and tell us:
- Your full name, and the name of the firm you work with.
- Whether you want your account only deleted, or your account and the records your firm holds about you.
We verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it. Requests from an address that is not on the account will be refused — that check exists to stop someone else deleting your records.
04 What happens next
| We acknowledge your request | within 3 working days |
|---|---|
| We complete or answer it | within 30 days |
| If we cannot delete something | we tell you which records and why, in writing |
Deleting your account ends your access to FinFlot immediately. If you still work with the firm, talk to your administrator first.
